Nothing is much known about him, since any of his media is still limited until we receive the release of the actual mod. Nightmare Squidward seems to have some sort of energy aura around his head, protecting his head from whatever would strike it (if the object's speed is limited). His eyebrows have the same anomalistic behavior as his mouth, extending far beyond Squidward's actual body and into the air. How Squidward is capable of changing his facial expression with his mouth is currently unknown. His mouth stretches far wider than Squidward's actual mouth, reaching far enough to leave his face and extend off of his actual body. His eyes, unlike the actual Squidward Tentacles, are completely blue. Nightmare Squidward, being a nightmare version of regular Squidward Tentacles, consists of a body shape of the actual Squidward Tentacles in the same colour with a few splatters of blood covering him. Another example of a nightmare character includes Coldsteel the Hedgehog, who is based off of Sonic the Hedgehog. With the release of the mod, lots of memes have spiked up about bad drawings of random characters, Squidward being one of these represented by Nightmare Squidward. On the 9th of July 2022, Nightmare Squidward Madness's status was officially raised to a canon and official spinoff to Mistful Crimson Morning. Despite this setback and Johnny Redwick leaving the development team, development of the mod continued as usual. With MCM officially canned, the server was rebranded to the Nightmare Squidward Community Server. It took only 40 minutes after the announcement for Mistful Crimson Morning to be completely cancelled on the Discord Server. Nightmare Squidward officially broke apart from Mistful Crimson Morning. On 5 July 2022, after Mistful Crimson Morning appeared to have been leaked by CoolmanAJF, Vs. The DLC was supposed to feature scrapped characters that previously didn't make it into the Mistful Crimson Morning raster and, instead, would revive a handful of characters that a part of the development team wanted to voluntarily work on in order to give the various characters that didn't make it into the mod a place to still get their own songs, sprites and other works. ĭevelopment initially began on 2 July 2022 when the concept of a DLC for Mistful Crimson Morning was created.
Nightmare Squidward Madness will contain both known Spongebob media as well as OC's from the developers.
